A Midsummer Night's Dream
by William Shakespeare
With music written and performed live by the company members, Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble’s production of Midsummer was staged in the open air, in Brisbane’s Roma Street Parklands.
Zoë assisted with the movement and choreograpy for this production which strove to explore the themes often overlooked in modern performances of Shakespeare’s comedy. "Not much is ever made of the impact that the discord in the faerie kingdom has on the human world," director Rob Pensalfini said. "I wanted to play with the idea of the wheels coming off the human world."

With choreography and movement by Zoe Tuffin this dream is physical and dance-like, helping, as does the music, to manifest the differing tempo-rhythms of the play’s worlds.
